Double pocket bag

By Yvonne | June 29, 2008

double-pocket-bag.jpgI have seen these double pocket card bags floating around various blogs and on splitcoast stampers so thought I would have a go at making one myself. These are just the easiest little bags to make, being made out of one sheet of deisgner paper. I made 6 little cards to go in to the bag and though it would make a great gift.

Stamps: think happy thoughts, illuminated wheel

Inks: whisper white, old olive, sahara sand.

Cardstock: soft sky, Fall flowers designer paper, old olive, self adhesive diecut from the secret garden scrappin kit.

Accessories: old olive grosgrain ribbon, scallop punch, 1 3/8″, 1 1/4″  and 3/4″circle punches, earth elements buttons, glue dots (to adhere button on) horizontal slot punch (to cut out slots for ribbon handles)

double-pocket-bag2.jpgThe tutorial for the double pocket bag can be found here . The cards I ended up cutting at 4.5″ x 8″ and scoring in half and they fit in perfectly.

I am off to take out my 3 children to lunch while Dh is coaching his soccer team - fingers crossed for an unenventful lunch, so hopefully, no spilt drinks, no kids falling off their seats or running through the restaurant arguing over where to sit! Wish me luck!

Oh how cute, love the bag idea. Were your ears burning yesterday because I was talking about you, all good of course!!! Hope your lunch went without drama, sorry but the odds are againist you. 3 kids, 1 Mum and a restaurant, it could be a TV show.

Love the bag and the cards. The bag looks really nice in that paper, I may have to make one myself.
