A major clear out!
By Yvonne | August 14, 2010
September 1st is the start of the new 2010-2011 Stampin Up Ideas book and Catalogue and I have been on a huge clear out of retiring stamps, inks, papers and embellishments - I am so embarrassed at what I have accumulated in the past 3 years that now needs a new home. LOOK at these stamps!!

I have decided to be harsh and let go of retired sets that I have have kept on for a looooong time but that I haven’t used in months.
And would you take a look at SOME of my retiring cardstock and inks?

The pile of DSP was too big to take a photo of, so just use your imagination on that one!
I am having a Retirement Party tomorrow, Sunday 15th August, where you can reserve any of the retiring items at bargain prices. If you are in Melbourne and would like to pop by, please email me ymcampbell@bigpond.com or call on 0410 560 413 for all the details!
All guests will receive a little goodie bag to take home and a special offer on items off the Last Chance List
Have a lovely weekend!

Lara May
By Yvonne | August 11, 2010
Well it seems more time has gone by without me realising it and suddenly we are nearly half way through August. Since I last posted, we have had a wonderful (and gloriously warm) couple of weeks in Fiji, and have simply been busy with life. I have so many photo’s to share, but today I wanted to introduce you to little Lara May who is the daughter of my wonderfully talented and inspiring friend and stampin’ Up! demonstrator, Madonna Dunn. I am part of a group of Australian demonstrators called Elite stampers and we are all trying to help the Dunn family with the purchase of a special chair for Lara. Here is Lara’s story as told by Madonna.

With my Gratitude,
Madonna
You will see a little pay pal button on the top left of my blog, if you are able to help support Lara. Thank you for reading this special post and I will be back with some creations as well as Fiji photo’s soon!

A thank you card
By Yvonne | July 5, 2010
I have a lot to be thankful for in my life; I have the most wonderful family, not just my hubby and kids, but my parents and siblings as well as my extended family, and I have some of the most greatest friends too, I feel very blessed. So I thought I would share with you a couple of Thank you cards that I had made recently as I think it is a card that I should send out more often.

All products by Stampin’ Up!
Stamps: Vintage Vogue, Fresh Cuts
Ink: Pink Pirouette, old olive, Regal Rose
Card: Naturals Ivory, pink pirouette
Accessories: Large Oval punch, scallop oval punch, SAMJ, Vintage brads, dimensional

All products by Stampin’ Up!

Card: White, pink pirouette, PInk pirouette printed paper.

And although I am thankful that the dentist today told me that my children have perfect teeth – in fact he didn’t even stick an instrument in Little miss’ mouth as her tiny teeth looked so perfect- I am NOT thanking him for the $180 bill it cost me to receive that great news. NO card heading his way lol!! Have a great night x

some of my favourite (stamping) things!
By Yvonne | July 4, 2010
We have had so much going on recently that time seems to have left me behind. I was made the official Campbell Chauffeur after Martin had to have knee surgery which sort of became a problem when my back went out! Poor little miss has decided to develop asthma so not too many good night sleeps lately- here is to a wonderful sleep in tomorrow (are you all listening kids?!?!)
I have been creating a bit as we have had a few birthday’s lately, and I thought I would show you some of my favourite things. When I received my copy of the new Stampin’ Up! Autumn mini, the first thing that grabbed my attention was Pony Party – I knew Isabelle would claim that set as her own and that it would get lots of use – and I was right! It is such a girly set and great to colour with as well.

and here is a close up – I coloured in the pony with my aquapainter and very watered down ink and the mane and tail with my blender pen and inks. Notice the Crystal Effects? There are dazzling diamonds on the wings too - what is a unicorn without sparkle!
This card also uses the scallop circle Die for the Bigshot and the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder (which I just lurv)as well as the gorgeous Incolor Mambo Melon Polka dot ribbon.
My other must have/absolutely love from the mini is The Medallion Background stamp – it is so versatile and beautiful! Add some colour spritzing and distressed edges and you have a lovel vintagy look! This card used Pretty in pink ink and card.

And need I say anything else about the Stampin Up Top Note die? Sigh, it is such a fantastic die! Here is a patchwork bag we made at an earlier class. The little bag centre is made from half a C6 envelope made into a bagalope. The scallop flower is made using the scallop circle punch – layering 8 scallops and then scrunching them individually.

And who can go past the Manhatten Flower embossing folder, that is one beautiful die! I based the next card on THIS tutorial which I thought was gorgeous.

I have more fave things but thought I would save some for another day. Thankyou for popping by, have a great night x

Here is a cute little project I did using the Fancy favour die and the scallop envelope die. I made little cards to fit into the envelopes and decorated them using the Cottage Wall DSP and the floral stamp from the Vintage Vogue. Stamp set. We did these at a class the other day I think everyone enjoyed them. It is always handy to have litle gift cards around or what a cute gift to give to someone!

Have a great day, Yvonne

convention is over!
By Yvonne | May 30, 2010
Yay! I have more photo’s to share! I can’t believe that the Stampin’ Up! convention was over a week ago already, I had such a great time and in fact I think it is only today that I feel I have caught up on my missing sleep! This was my third convention and the best thing about the event is catching up with friends! I had quite a few team members here this year and it was great to spend time together socially. It is soo hard to catch up with everyone though, there were so many people that I wanted to chat too but there just wasn’t enough time – lucky for us, convention is in Melbourne next year and it is for 3 days = YAY!! more days to play! Our first night we were evacuated from our hotel at 1am and 3 am after the fire alarms went off and now looking back, it was so funny to think of us all in our jammies in the street, stressing out that we had left our swaps in the room – at least I had remembered to put my new shoes on, I was not leaving them behind! Throw in some stamping, a lot of karaoking, lots of coffee and chocolate and some great classes and you have a wonderful few days.

Here are some of my girls with Tracey popping in to say Hi!! I just LOVE this pic!!
Of couse Convention ends with our Awards Dinner and we felt so special on arrival – they had a red carpet out and photographers snapping away at us – did we feel famous or what! Then, I was totally blown away to not only be named 10th demontrator of the year, but also to come in the top three in Recruiting in Australia and receive a beautiful Burberry necklace as a gift. Considering the changes I had made this past year, that I had taken a step back from everything, it was the last thing I expected. I had bought this gorgeous dress for the night and had these amazing heels to go with it -and as a nurse I never wear heels, it is a real adventure for me to do so, but if I had of know that I would be walking across the stage seven times, I would have worn flats- I had to hobble barefoot back to the hotel!!
the girls all dressed up!
top 3 recruiting, Marelle, CLaire and me, with Shelli, Emma and Aaron.
my goodies -includng 7 new stamp sets from the upcoming 2010 Idea Book and Catalogue – wouldn’t you love a sneak peak!
So thank you to all my friends and customers who have supported me, I feel so humbled and blessed, without you I would not have achieved the things I did this year! Martin and I are off to Hamilton Island this year, this is my third incentive trip and I can’t wait as it is a great time to relax and really get to know the other guests.
Oops what about swaps!! I made about 50 in 2 designs, and here they are!

The first card uses my favourite colour Rich Razzleberry and the second one my favourite big Shot die The Top Note.
The first swap I used as a class card this week – got to love that bird punch
and here are some little gifts I made for my girls!

well off to bed for me! Have a great night and thankyou for stopping by xx

A summary!
By Yvonne | May 29, 2010
Well after a wonderful few days in Sydney at our Stampin Up Convention, and after being asked more times than I can remember what has happened to my blog, I think it is time to share with you what has been going on with the Campbells over the past few months! Today, after a totally exhausting week, I had a great sleep in and breaky in bed thanks to my oh-so-tolerant hubby, and I finally have the time to do a bit of updating! So here I am in my jammies, slippers on, very comfy on my recliner working out what to write!
It is hard to believe that we are nearly half way through the year, I feel like I still haven’t caught up with what I needed to do last November! Life has been busy and I had to make some changes, to reduce stress, get fit and healthy and find some balance, so hence the lack of posts. I thought I would give you a summary of the past few months, I actually do have a heap of projects to share but as a great deal of these are from the previous mini or the sale-a-bration catalogue, I have just picked out a few!
April saw the Autumn mini finally arrive and with it, my new favourite colour – Rich Razzleberry and of course the must-have-item of 2010 – the Big Shot!! I am going to split up this post into 2 – so this one is all about the old stuff (well old, as in pre-Autumn mini!) and I will share with you my favourite events of the months, but here a couple of mother’s day cards showing off my favourite stamp in the mini, The Medallion and my favourite Big shot Die – the Top note!

April was an interesting month, Martin had his tonsils out (and for all you who have ever gone through labour – apparently we know nothing of what pain is *sigh*) But we also had chocolate overload with Easter!!
Easter In Apollo Bay! Look what the Easter bunny left!

A swim after all those eggs! If you have never made your way to Apollo bay, put it on your must visit list, it is such a beautiful part of Victoria.

Back home, tough Little Miss with her ‘Sleeve’

February – happy 11th birthday Joel! We all went to Teppanyaki, the kids had never been before and they absolutely loved it – especially having food flung at them – they ended up eating things they would not have eaten served up on a plate, but when it is travelling at you at speed in the air, you have no choice but to catch and eat it! Birthday boy covered in sauce and food!

Our chef at work!

January – we spent the month at our cabin enjoying the coast! And of course it was also the first day of school for the boys and Kinder for my little miss!

Triplet Falls

The Otway Lighthouse

The road to the Lighthouse has Koala’s literally hanging off the trees on the side of the road – just pull over and take a pic! Can you spot the koala in the tree?

Paradise Falls

December! What a wonderful but absolutely exhausting time of the year!! I did have some classes and have some of my favourites here.. Little miss had her huge dancing concert and of course we had to get ready for Santa’s visit! I also had my Christmas open house – the glass baubles shown below were slathered with heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds and looked great!

November – Halloween at The Bay. It was the first year the kids had dressed up and did the whole trick or treat thing and they just loved it! Our cabin in all its cobwebby finery!

November also saw our Team Retreat! What a great weekend away, it is always nice to get away, have your cooking done and spend time with other craft mad friends! This was our second one at Sunnystone Retreat, a great little place for a get together.

Here are the little pillow gifts that I made for my girls, got to love the treat cups! I made them as sliders so you could pull out the goodies without tearing apart the card – pity I didn’t let the girls know, there were goodies rolling all over the floor as the tabs got pulled out!
Here is our room and the table at the front held all out shoebox swaps!

Great opportunity to do all my christmas cards (don’t ask how many actaully got sent out though, oops!!!) SO here are some of the cards I made!

Phew, that was a huge number of photo’s! Now I know there are more, but as I have now had 3 attempts today to load the photo’s up (first time they were too big, second time, the screen froze and I lost them all!) I am going to leave the rest for my next post, and I promise it will be done over the weekend and not next year! I have lots of great photo’s from convention, which was wonderful and it really made me remember that I do love to stamp and create and should do more of it! Thank you for all you patience, and for all the emails and messages from people letting me know they missed my posts, I feel really touched xx

Regional swaps and gifts!
By Yvonne | October 30, 2009
Well it has been a very interesting couple of weeks in our house, and I have to say I am glad that things are on the improve – between broken bones, tonsilitis and all sorts of gastro bugs, we have been having a great old time! I have had a few people ask me where I got my frames from in my previous post and I would advise you to search out your local variety store – I actually found mine in small Vietnamese variety store of all places, but I know others have found them in the Reject Shop and other such stores. Spotlight also have frames, but it depends on your local store what they stock.
We had our Melbourne Stampin’ Up! regionals the other week and I was looking forward to catching up with my team, of which quite a number were coming along, but I woke up feeilng dreadful. I went though, wanting to give away my swaps and little gifts I had made for my girls. I think I lasted a hour before having to leave, but at least I managed to exchange a few swaps! I thought I would show you the swaps I made using Big Bold Birthday
I really don’t use this set enough and it is such a fun and versatile set. I used the Boho flower punch for the background. I so LOVE the scallop punch and it just sets off the card nicely.
I love making litle gifts for my team members who attend Stampin Up events, it is just a little something to say thank you for taking the time to come along and they are always fun to make. I found these cute ovesized paperclips at my local Big W store and thought they would make great bookmarks.
how cute are the colours of the clips and they co-ordinated so well with our cardstock. I used the flowers from the level 3 Hostess set Window dressings, stamped in Stazon and coloured them in with my markers
.
and here it is in use in one of the Sookie Stackhouse novels which I just love.
But I didn’t just want to give them a paperclip so made these oversized matchbox books which could hold 2 Freddo frogs, but I thought I would put some little post it notes in there as well!
So I co-ordinated the colours with each clip and here is a look inside:

Here they are, all packaged up, very cute if I may say so myself.
Anyway, I am off to bed, we were meant to leave for Apollo Bay today but DH is still feeling too unwell to make a 3 hour car ride, so fingers crossed we will make it tomorrow! My kids are dressing up for Halloween tomorrow night for the first time and they are SO excited, Little miss has a witch costume and has been practising her evil cackle – it is so funny!! She wants to paint her face red though, so not sure wat that’s about, but will take lots of pics to share with you lol!

Framed art
By Yvonne | October 12, 2009
Well it has been a busy week in our household, the boys are back at school ( I really miss those sleep in’s) Little miss at 3 y.o kinder, and it is back to the swimming lessons, basketball training, dancing classes, and everything else having 3 kids entails! I also went to a trade night at our school on Friday night so I was busy creating cards and items for display and also to run classes on. The first thing I wanted to make was a personalised frame. The other week we ran a stall at the Picture to Page Show and one very talented Melbourne Stampin Up demonstrator Kelly Bowen (who really really needs to get herself a blog!!) created these amazing frames using squares of DSP and ribbon. Kelly created one using the ‘Cheers to You’ set which was basically the design I followed in my frame, I think you will see these frames everywhere – we were all very inspired!
Isabelle and I made it together – she was telling me where to put things and I had to use a little gentle persuasion to stop the frame being covered in pink rhinestones!!! I used the Bella Rose DSP and the 1 1/4″ Square punch which fit perfectly in the shadow box.
Here is a close up. Not sure if you can tell, but I covered the letters in dazzling diamonds as well. I offered this both as a class for $25 or made to order and it got a lot of interest which was great! The funniest thing was, that when the boys got in from school and I said to them ‘look what we made today’ the first thing they said was ‘well where is mine!’ Back to the stamp desk I go!

Sense of Time..
By Yvonne | October 4, 2009
Just a quick stop tonight! I thought I would share with you a 6 x 6 layout I did of the boys, the photo was taken a couple of years ago down at our cabin in Apollo Bay. Don’t look too closely at their Nutella smeared faces! The layout was also my shoe box swap for our team stamp camp. I had organised the camp to get my team together, along with some friends who were also Stampin Up Demonstrators. The Spring mini had just come out, so I asked everyone to prepare a shoe box swap (or a make and take) using products from the mini for us all to do. It is one of the things I miss, attending classes where all the preparation and design is done for you, but this way, I had 24 make and takes to do over the weekend which was great!
I love this set ‘Sense of Time’, it gives your creations a real vintage feel and is perfect for those hard to do masculine cards. I made a pull out journalling box to sit behind the photo, pulled out using the tab. (and of course it is sitting crooked in this photo!) I created a mask over the clock and then just smooshed my not quite navy ink pad all over the card as well as stamping the wheel image in chocolate and navy randomly. Very simple.
Here is a few photo’s of the camp:
Here are some of our Shoe Box Swaps. I had them all numbered and everyone had a sheet with corresponding numbers on it so they could cross off the ones they had done.
Here is our work room – how great are those stones!!!
And here is our group. We are sitting in a really 70’s style Conversation pit which doubled up as our SingStar /Karaoke stage once dinner was finished with. I came home so sleep deprived but it was sooo worth it!
I also had little pillow gifts for my girls as a welcome gift but I forgot to take photo’s of course!!
I am organising another camp for the end of November and can’t wait! If you are thinking of joining Stampin up, this month is the month to do it with the wonderful promotion we have running, and even better, you can come along to our camp!
Well it is daylight savings here which takes my body a wee bit to get used to – I just don’t do early mornings well and tomorrow is the first day back at school so an even earlier start -I better set 2 alarm clocks (thanks Princess for that hint!!)
