count down to Christmas..
By Yvonne | September 30, 2009
It seems this year has flown past me, I just can’t seem to keep up with the days at the moment! I have been organising, working, creating and my poor blog has been a little neglected! I have done quite a few classes so I do have lots to share with you. I thought I would show you some of the Christmas cards we have been doing, I just love our christmas papers, and have been using Holiday Treasures a lot.
Here is the milkcarton and crate set that we are doing at a class tomorrow and it uses the cute set ‘Holiday lineup’ and just a little bit of the Holiday Treasures DSP. This gorgeous set was designed by Becky who has some beautiful creations. and I have CASEd it from her.
Here is the same set and Designer Paper again and I have used the spotlight technique where you highlight a small area of the image. I saw this done on a card by Debbie and just loved it so thought we would do it in a stamp a stack.
And here is the complete set of cards we did at our stamp a stack. These cards were so popular and as a lot of people coldn’t make the class, I offered this set of 6 cards as a Stamp-a-stack by mail, if you are interested in doing this SAS at home, contact me on ymcampbell@bigpond.com for more details.

This is a card we did with my stamp club and you guessed it, same DSP again!! I just cut around the flower print and applied some dazzling diamonds to the flower centres. You have to love the scallop oval punch don’t you!!
And another Stamp a stack we did, this time using the Winter Post stamp set and the Holiday Treasure DSP again.
This card we did at my mini launch and it uses a set available in the spring mini called Tree Trimmings which I added dazzling diamonds to and used the Masking technique. The DSP is just gorgeous and is called Ski Slope
, also available in the Spring mini. I am stocking up on the Riding hood red striped ribbon so I can use it at christmas time, I just love it so much!
The other week we had a stand at the Picture to Page show in Burwood and it was fun to catch up with the girls and do some shopping!! I came home with this huge wall cut out horse, lots of rhinestones and hot pink craft paint and had a ball decorating it. I used 3 different Kaiser craft paints and lots of bling! I even embossed diamonds onto the horse’s tummy using the baroque motif swirl. Can you see the bling on the hoofs??

So the last thing I expected from her when I showed her the horse on her bedroom wall, was her throwing herself on the floor crying her eyes out because I didnt wait for her to help me!! Needless to say, the horse came down, the rhinestones and flowers came out and little miss finished ‘decorating’ her horse. I haven’t taken a photo of her finished artwork, but just imagine the horse completely covered in bling and flowers and you will get close to the mark!
Well off to bed now! If you get a chance go over to the Specials tab HERE to see the wonderful promotion Stampin up are running from the 1st October. I have been very slack updating my class list so please email me if you are interested in coming to classes in Melbourne and I will pop you on my mailing list. I normally have 1 -2 classes a week and would love to see some new faces!
