explosion boxes
By Yvonne | May 15, 2007
Well, I had a plan to sit down last night and ‘create’, but ds informs me he needs to complete (which really meant start and finish!) some homework. Of course it just had to be a 3D depiction of a loved book character. Out comes the muffin box, its contents thrown into the pantry, the white and brown paper, some pipecleaners, ping pong balls, other bits and pieces and wha la – we have sponge bob square pants. After a lot of ‘you dont know what you are doing mum!” and ‘then do it yourself” between mother and son, we ended up pleased with the result. I really will have to post a pic of him when he comes back from school! However, this did dash my hopes of making an idea I saw on splitcoast stampers last night. So luckily for me, dd was happy to watch hi5 this morning, giving me enough time to make an exlosion box. I thought it perfect for so many different things – gifts, cards, mini albums, loot bags – I just love this idea.
